" To LIVE LOVE ETERNALLY is desiring the Creator of life more than we desire the pleasures of life. "

My Tattoo

Some of you have asked about my tattoo.
"What does it look like?"
"What does it mean?"
I designed the tattoo to symbolize my philosophy of life.
A Celtic cross, a quasi yin-yang, and dark fire.
Good must always co-exist with evil. True freedom of will allows us the constant choice between the two polarities. Traditional yin yang philosophy says good and evil are one single entity with some good existing within evil and some evil existing within good. Union of those pervading principles brings harmony.
Instead I am convinced that good and evil are totally SEPARATE entities, yet a gray area exists. Not between black and white, but as a third entity beyond black and white. That gray is the fire in my tattoo. Fire can be both destructive or it can be used as a tool, but if we checkpoint the cross before exploring gray areas of life, then we are protected. That is why the cross is crystallized, because it is not a stopping point. It is transparent. Only a gateway to eternity. When light passes thru crystal, it becomes a prism beaming color into our lives. Not everything is black and white. Shades of turQuoise and aQuamarine represent an aura of healing and compassion. The cross is a stage for true love. Sacrifice. Laying down our own life for another. Dying to self.
  • To LIVE is having knowledge and experience of both good and evil.
  • To LOVE is choosing the good over evil and using good to enhance the livelihood of others.
  • To LIVE LOVE ETERNALLY is desiring the Creator of life more than we desire the pleasures of life.
